David Welter

Born and raised on an Iowa dairy farm, David Welter came to the College of the Redwoods after a progression of finish carpentry and architectural millwork jobs. He attended the school in 1982-1984, the second and third years of James Krenov’s program. In 1986, he took his current position as woodworking specialist and instructor at the college.
