Tool Review: Flexair hose by Prevost
Tim Rousseau takes a look at a new air hose featuring an innovative push-button coupler.
When I first tried Prevost’s new Flexair hose, I was struck by how smoothly the attachment worked. Adding or removing a tool was super easy thanks to the push button on the coupling. There is no more jarring hiss or pop. The hose itself seems super tough yet supple. It lies flat on the floor, which I really appreciate, though it was hard to coil tightly for storage. It also supplied an excellent amount of power to my 5-in. pneumatic random-orbit sander, so much so that I was happily taken aback. The hoses come in 1⁄4-in., 3⁄8-in., and 1⁄2-in. sizes, and lengths ranging from 25 ft. to 100 ft. They’re rated for up to 174 psi.
