My trim router lacks a light, which is a problem when working up to a fine layout line for mortises and inlay pockets, among other tasks. I’ve tried a desk lamp, but that produces shadows. I solved the problem by taping an inexpensive LED book light to the router. The LED is on a flexible shaft, which is easily adjusted to put a flood of light right where you need it.
You can find these lights online for $10 or less, in all sorts of styles. You could even attach two.
